Earn Cherry Crush (The Chocolate Box Girls, #1) By Cathy Cassidy Offered In Physical Book
Ias fi dat fara sa clipesc doua stele, insa stilul placut de scriere a salvat cartea in ochii mei, flashback toyr old me just after my birthday It was good Always enjoy these books, had them since I was a teenager,
Just needed something easy to read so reading the whole chocolate box girls series,Stars
Having previously read Lucky Star by Cathy Cassidy and really enjoyed it I jumped at the chance to review this one, I am so glad I did because I really, really loved it
Taking a fairly simple premise Cathy Cassidy injects it with magic, Full of wit and charm it's a book that I know would have been one of my absolute favourites had I read it as a teen, Even now, many moons away from being a teenager, I read it in one sitting just completely captured by all the wonderful characters,
I adored Cherry, She was kind and considerate especially towards her dad, She was being asked to make big changes in her life but I don't remember her complaining, Yes, she did have a tendency to tell some white lies and be rather economical with the truth but she didn't do any of it to be mean it was done more as a way to fit in and be liked.
I loved all the other characters too even Honey who I thought was an interesting character and am really looking forward to her story, All the characters were completely fleshed out even the parents who can sometimes be overlooked,
My favourite aspect of the story though was Cherry and Shay's friendship, It was extremely sweet and one that felt based on a true connection, I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens between them in future installments, I'm so glad this is going to be a series of five books, I can't wait to get my hands on the next one! I am not familiar with the author, but the cover was very cute and tempted pink, heart shape, chocolates, cute title etc, just see it yourselfso i tried this.
After stayed at my book pile for aboutmonths, finally i decided to read this when i needed a light reading, And yes, this is totally light and fast reading I read this abouthours at night p,
The story mainly is about love and family, and full with lovable characters,
Cherry Costello is a cute, dreamer, and good girl and wow she is half Scottish half Japanese, and she seems living her simple live with her father quite happily, but the main problem is she keeps lying to make herself looks good in front of others and she knows it.
Although it doesn't make any harm to anybody, that personality flawed her cuteness and makes her looks pitiful, Thankfully the author didn't make Cherry's lying problem as the main issue for the entire story,
What is nice also how her new family happily accept Cherry and her father, well, almost all her new family, not Honey, I didn't like her at the first, she was a typical of popularblondegirl, often mad for no reason, egoist, and rude, But after read some chapters i knew her more and even sympathized her when Shay was 'snatched away', Not Cherry nor Shay's fault though, because Shay couldn't take Honey's rudeness and Cherry was a nice and cute girl who was always there to heard Shay,
Shay had a player image and every girl in town liked him, I like how Shay slowly approached Cherry in many sweet ways amused,
I can't wait for the next book after saw the ending part, Very thrilling! If you like light, cute and sweet like chocolate's story, this book is fit for you,
I give thisstar, despite of the simple story, i couldn't put it down and finished it in short time D I literally read this in two hours and fortyseven minutes and in that time I felt about a million different emotions going round my head.
I've always admired Cathy Cassidy, When I was younger I used to love reading about the things going on in her books reading her books taught me a LOT, I'm so glad she finally decided to write a series five books altogether, after much demand!
The Chocolate Book Girls: Cherry Crush is the story of Cherry Costello.
Cherry lives with her dad and her little fishy Rover in Glasgow, But now, they're moving out of their little flat, and moving in with her father's girlfriend, Charlotte and her big family, in Somerset, Charlotte has four daughters Honey, Sky and Summer who are twins but nothing like each other and Coco, They're about the same age as Cherry and she's feeling
excited, they could be like the sisters she never had,
The eldest girl, perfect, gorgeous Honey, is very complicated, Still sure that her parents are in love and her father is going to come running back very soon, she's horrible to Cherry, and she doesn't understand that Charlotte is now in a serious relationship with Cherry's dad.
Eager to please her new family, Cherry's coping with Honey's dirty looks by telling stories of her life, Stories that aren't necessarily true, But she can't help it they just seem to come out, . .
I loved Cherry, She was a very sweet girl, When Cherry's dad told her they were moving, I don't remember her complaining about it, And that was a really big change for her, And, okay, she told a few lies, but it wasn't in spite of anyone! It was because she was afraid her new sisters wouldn't like her She tried and even though it probably wasn't the best way to blend in, I admire her for trying because not mnay people ven bother to do that.
All the other characters were interesting too, very well thoughtout,
I really like how Cassidy transformed the simplest storyline into something completely charming and fun, Cherry Crush is the start of an amazing new series and I can't wait for the next book in the series, Vanilla Skye!
Oh and the cover is very pretty.
There are some actual images of chocolate, Yum. Some beautiful illustrations inside at the top of each new chapter too, This was a sweet story about finding yourself, family and change, It was quite enjoyable.
The first in The Chocolate Box series and I found this quite entertaining, sitelinkCathy Cassidy sticks to the family theme,
Cherry and her father moved from Glasgow to a small town because her father finds love, Along with his new love interest, Charlotte, there aredaughters, Honey, Skye, Summer and Coco, They run the bed and breakfast together,
Cherry's father has a dream of inventing artisan chocolate which is aptly named as The Chocolate Box,
There are so many issues tackled inside the book about growing up, being honest, and most of all, family,
I find this book has positive message all over and would recommend it to my daughter, This stood the test of time haha,I hate it when a really light and short book takes me for ever to read,
This was an okay book, My favorite thing was the chocolate, I really got hungry while I was reading it, But I had a few issues, First of all Cherry was acting so childish, She is aroundyears old, but she was acting as if she was, And Seriously, she needs to stop making up so many stories, And I didn't like her father, I get it that he was trying to give Honey space, but what kind of parent makes his child sleep in the garden, Even though I don't like Honey I think that she has a right to be angry, I mean Cherry stole her boyfriend and her own family has nothing against it,./stars
I didn't like the ending, At all. And sometimes, everything was happening was sooo annoying, Anyway, this book isn't so bad, I think I'm going to read the next one Five full for this one, Also, this is my new favourite book, And the greatest book I've read inso far,
So, this is the first installment in the "Chocolate Box Girls" series, called "Cherry Crush", Cherry is a newlyhigh schooler girl that lives only with her father, Paddy, We only know that she grew up without a mother, At first, we don't know if her mother just ran away or else,
We see her collegue Kirsty McRae, a bitchy mean chic that slowly ruins Cherry's life, We also see that Cherry is a great storyteller she has an incredible imagination and lies almost everybody with stories about her boring life to make it look greater.
I don't dislike her for that,
Meanwhile, Paddy starts talking to an old collegue of his, Charlotte, She is a blonde woman, always laughing and so kind, He works to a chocolate fabric called McBean and sorts the Taystee chocolates, It's not really a great job, So when Paddy asks Cherry to move to Somerset together with Charlotte and start a chocolate business, Cherry agrees, Only that she finds out that Charlotte is divorced and hasdaughters of her own, Knowing that she is awful when it comes to social relationships, Cherry is a bit frighten,
When they get there, Cherry meets the four sisters: the younger one, Coco, having a personality identical to boys, cute, redhead who loves animals the twins, Skye and Summer Skye loves vintage stuff, especially dresses and Summer loves ballet and wants to be a professional dancer one day and last, but not least, the older one, Honey, the mean one, the blondie, temperamental that still sufferers for Greg, her real father and thinks that he will come back one day, and has the most cutest boyfriend, Shay Fletcher.
Of course, Honey is even more evil than Kirsty McRae and acts so awful around Cherry and Paddy,
Cherry falls for Shay, the guy with black winter cap even if it was July and the blue guitar,
Will they manage to start the chocolate business And if they do, will it work What will happen when Cherry's lies are being discovered by the new family members Or when Honey will find out about Cherry and Shay
Well, if you want to know the answers, just READ THIS BOOK! Trust me, it's amazing!
I've cried, and the ending was so shivering.
And no, it doesn't end in a cliffhanger, And there is no love triangle,
The book is written in the firstperson view, so we can actually see what the protagonist sees, Besides that, it is written in present time, The chapters are somewhat short, so it doesn't get boring, It's easy to read and I emphasized with Cherry so well,
Now, the next book in the series is "Marshmallow Skye", from Skye's point of view, Can't wait.
Plus, the covers are so gorgeous, And you can't stop drooling when you read about all the desserts there, I really recommend the series!,
