For Mature Readers only, I really liked this series, I first read thebooks with Annie and Christy so I knew this book I would love also, No so much it was just okay, Yes it was hot, other then that it was very predictable, the sex was always the same, they never tried anything new, no real climax.
It felt like O'Donovan and Toni were just repeating themselves, and they kept switching roles, Who is going to stalk who now, It lagged a lot and at one point I just wanted it to be over, What is with the main characters taking forever to get together The writing is amazing the story is okay, I just needed a pinch more.
Another good one from Lavender Parker! Toni St, James and Sebastian O'Donovan were a very unlikely couple, but I really liked them together, Would loved to have seen O'Donovan's family's reaction to Toni,

Good story, great characters and steamy sex scenes what more can you ask for

Loved the little cliff hanger at the end.
Can't wait for whatever is next! Kiss of Fire by Lavender Parker, the follow up story of Kiss of Ice, is an excellent read.

We first meet Toni when she narrowly escapes death in Kiss of Ice.
She is the younger sister of Annata St James, Toni is ayear old African American ballerina, She is fun, bratty, spoiled and a very nice person, Toni has very strong feelings for ODonovan and she wants to explore those feelings, She is desperate for ODonovan to recognize that they could be good together, So she pursues him with everything she has, even to the point of begging him to give their relationship a chance.


ODonovan is the firefighter who rescues Toni, He is Irish andyears Tonis senior, which becomes an issue for ODonovan, He is grumpy, bad tempered, moody, very blunt and loves to drink, He fights his feelings for Toni because she moves in the wrong circles for him the rich and entitled and all he wants is to find a woman who he can go fishing with, have some kids and settle down into marrital bliss! Although he has feelings for Toni, he is just recently divorced from a woman who is a social climber and he does not want to be in another relationship where he has to be around folks he cannot relate to.


Toni and ODonovan play cat and mouse with each other for a while and the relationship has lots of heat and passion.
The language in the story is very colorful, so be warned! In this story Toni does the chasing and ODonovan does the running and then acts like a jerk and causes Toni heartache.


The story is an emotional roller coaster as expected and Toni punishes ODonovan when he realizes way too late what a mess he has made of their relationship! Then the roles reverse: he does the chasing and she does the running.
The story has lots humor and made me laugh, I did however, want to slap both Toni and ODonovan at different points in the story,

I enjoyed it it is worth the read! There will be a book, which I will look forward to reading also.

I enjoyed this one more than the first book, Lavender Parker, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE longer review to come

I really enjoyed this book because the heroine and hero got to grow in thier love.
I really enjoyed that Toni she was a brown ballerina, and she fought so hard for her love, made me enjoy this book even more.
I also like Sebastian, he was heroic, but his inferiority complex got on my nerve, hardcore and how he made Toni question herself at times, was highly unattractive but eventually thier love was to hardcore and they got over themselves.

The one draw back to this is novel is the smoking of pot and over consumption of alcohol, Having seen first hand the damage both can do, can't say I am enthused about their blaze use in novels, Hot like Fire

This story starts off with the heroine being saved from a burning cab by the hero an unknown fireman.
So literally their story starts off with a blaze,

Ballerina Antoinette St, James is young, witty, funny, loves life, smart and loves endlessly, NYC Fireman Sebastian O'Donovan is cynical, a bit of a drunk, not really caring about life and just floating through, So what could these two possibly have in common when on the surface it they appear as oil and water, Well that just it, it's only the surface because underneath are two people who want the same thing out of life and to be loved unconditionally.


I loved Toni because she was a real go getter, she had been dancing stronger than ever but since the accident her ankle sometimes seizes up reminding her that she almost wasn't here.
Two years

have passed and she wanted to see the man who rescued her to properly say thank you, Well the chance comes when she sees a news article that several firefighters were injured and O'Donovan was one of them.
Toni took it upon herself to go and visit him in the hospital, after finding put where he was, Their next encounter wasn't like the first time, O'Donovan was rough and crotchety, he was rude to a fault but he remembered who she was from the fateful night.
But things have changed for hi now, he was divorced and living alone besides being in the hospital was also not good company lol!!

But Toni was like a FTornado, she blew right into O'Donovan's life and he was kicking and screaming about the interruption that was her.
Little did he realized, she was exactly who he needed, Together they were highly combustible but they were rich together, also when things seems to good to be true, insecurities rear it's ugly head by making big things out of nothing.
The facade of smoke clouds judgment and causes us to do and say things that will hurt the other person and ourselves at the same time.
Forcing decisions that should have never been made because they were made with an unclear mind, this causes a downward spiral that no one at the moment sees coming until it is too late.


Can two people who seem destined for each other make it Will past mistakes keep them apart Or will it just be too late The answer to Toni and O'Donovan will be answered in this book.
If you have read the first book "Kiss of Ice" then you will see big sister Annata and her husband Christopher make appearances in little sister Toni's story.
