This was one of my favorite series from my childhood booksI did not have the pleasure of reading them during childhood I am reading them now.


When a friend needs Samantha's help with his new colt and its mother, she's torn, Sam wants what's best for the horses, but her friend's plan could put them in danger, So when the two horses go missing, Sam feels responsible, She's sure the mare has run away with the Phantom, but what will happen to the colt Can Sam bring him home before it's too late I normally love everything about this series, but this particular installment seemed like it was missing something.

The end was severely rushed, and I'm still a little confused on what happened with the stolen horses, It seems to me that Linc payed his lackey to let Hotspot free and steal Shy Boots to get rid of him, but it seems more like Linc to just shoot him.
The HARP girls come in, but we don't get their conclusion, which is disappointing because new girl Gina is a very intriguing character who is well developed, but doesn't get to have a large role.
Jake is really pushed aside in this volume, and not a whole lot really happened besides a lot of exposition and waiting around for news.

I don't know, this book just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, Definitely an outlier in this series, since I rarely ever give less than five to a Phantom Stallion book, Good to pass time. Can be interesting/excitingbut def, for horse freaks! An average teen series, A great series for the young horselover! I read the whole series as a kid and each book keeps you interested and racing for the next! Short and cute.
