on The Warrior Code: 11 Principles to Unleash the Badass Inside of You

lessons on Grit, toughness, bravery, your big reason, find your tribe, stand for yourself, self care and many other amazing insights, Wonderful read ! The author shares"warrior codes" that are there to empower you and help you realize your potential,
All thecodes are excellent and make for great advice,
Each code also has a "warrior work", which is kinda like homework, or a call to action, I think is a nice addition to the book, if you're looking for more than just inspiration and you would actually like to get up and do something.

That being said the writing felt too monotonous and it was a slow read for me, The ideas are great, and I still believe this book has a great potential to help others, but just wasn't my favorite selfhelp book, Great book by someone who has a wide variety of life experience, To be clear, it definitely reads as almost equal parts autobiography and personal development book, which I enjoyed, From American Grit costar, former Marine Gunnery Sergeant Tee Marie Hanible, comes her story of how she became a warriorand how you can do it too.

By the age of fifteen, Tees father had been murdered, shed become a ward of the state, had mastered foster care, been expelled from school, and even found herself a victim of gun violence on the streets of the South Side of Chicago.

Having been introduced to military reform school, Tee began to see a different path for her life, a path that would lead her to become a Warrior.

From her relentless drive to be more than her circumstances, Tee found herself as part of one of the first female classes of recruits to complete the Marine Corps Crucible, as well as part of the first ever class of females to complete Marine Combat Training.
As the only woman to deploy with her unit in Iraq in, Tee is known as the badass female Gunnery Sergeant and trainer from FOXs hit show American Grit.
Now shes here to help you unleash the badass inside of you! Audio version was not edited correctly, But, the book was good and had good take away points I really enjoyed this book, I listened to the audio version that I borrowed from Hoopla, Now I need to buy the book and read it and study it, An interesting and inspiring story, Two and a half, Part memoir, part selfhelp. If you're looking for a different perspective for motivation this is a good book, Meh. I vacillated between giving thisorstars, I think the issue is that I am not the target audience for this book because I am already too far along in the process for this to add value.
For people who consistently make terrible life choices and feel like they are floundering, however, I think there is something to gain from her story, This is a story of how military school and the Marines helped turn a troubled kid's life around, and how these experiences can be distilled into a set of steps to follow.
Because of the focus of the book, I think this is a great fit for people in their late teens and older who are struggling to get their shit together.
But if you've already gotten your shit together and are just looking for general selfhelp, there are better fits out there for your needs, I follow Ms. Hanible on Twitter but didn't realize she had a book coming out, I was curious to read what she had to say and thought it would be a good change of pace, Hanible takes the reader through what it says on the tin:principles to release your inner badass interspersed with her life story and how she got to where she is now.

After her father's death, Hanible was placed into foster care, eventually kicked out of school and then entered military school, Along the way she shares her insights, her thoughts and experiences and what she learned as her path took her to where she is today,

I'd say the book just wasn't for me, I've never cared for selfhelp books and perhaps couldn't really relate to her experiences much but they were interesting so this wasn't really something up my alley.
But it was awesome to read up on where she began to where she is now and overall I was glad to learn a little more about the person behind a Twitter handle I follow.

Other people might enjoy it so I'd recommend you thumb through it before deciding if it's a pickup for you, It'd probably make a great gift for the right person, too, Easy to read and consume, Quick way to psychologically analyse yourself and work on yiu using her as an example, The author sharescodes to empower you and help you realize your potential, She ensures us that by living life
Gain The Warrior Code: 11 Principles To Unleash The Badass Inside Of You Written By Tee Marie Hanible Expressed As E-Text
by her code we will all be badasses,
I liked the premise, I appreciate her story. i wanted to LOVE this book, But if I am honest I didn't, The writing was flat and monotonous for me and that made what could have been an incredibly engaging story, a really tough read,
This may be a woman I would want to see speak at an event, or maybe put out some encouraging tweets, but I would not be tempted to buy any books with her name on them.

Her warrior work for each code set this book apart from other self help books because it gave clear action steps,
The book has potential to help the right person certainly wont make my list of favorite selfhelp books,

The publisher provided an ARC through Netgalley, I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review.
I have been reading a lot of selfhelp books that would help me with things going on inside of my mind, I saw this and I need to feel strong and confident and this showed me how to work toward the goals that I have set for myself.
When I use books like this I have to keep it for a few months before I say if it works for me or not, I know nothing works over night,   The Warrior Code is a motivational, selfhelp book about resilience and perseverance, Tee Marie Hanible provides a roadmap to tapping into your “inner badass” and working through conflict, challenges and adversity, Youll enjoy this The Warrior Code's take charge and get it done prose, You'll also be inspired by the authors complex journey,

I received a review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest review, Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own,

Synopsis from the Publisher/NetGalley, com
From American Grit costar, former Marine Gunnery Sergeant Tee Marie Hanible comes the story of how she became a warrior, . . and how you can do it, too,

In The Warrior Code, entrepreneur, philanthropist, reality star, and retired Gunnery Sergeant Tee Marie Hanible serves up eleven principles to awaken your inner badass and thrive in the face of adversity.

After surviving the death of her father, enduring foster care, and being expelled from school, Tee joined military reform school, where she began uncovering her inner warrior.
As part of one of the first female classes of recruits to complete the Marine Corps Crucible and the Marine Combat Training, and as the only woman to deploy with her unit to Iraq in, Tee tested her mettle and learned the key to becoming an unbreakable woman.

With insightful honesty and wisdom, and set against the backdrop of Tees life, The Warrior Code will help you understand that things can beat us back from realizing our true potential.
. . but the key is finding the way to realize ones own innate strength, I love self help books, I love living a book in my own life so that I can unleash the "badass" in myself, This book gives you hope and it gives you strength by living theprinciples, A great read, a must read for any woman looking to unleash her inner badass! “To me, bravery and the pursuit of happiness are deeply intertwined.
Thats because choosing happiness is never, ever is easy as it sounds, Doing so requires you to tune out critics who cant see what you see for yourself, Doing so requires you let go of the sure thing and brace yourself for discomfort as you build your “new and improved” from scratch, Doing so requires you get off your butt and hustle hard, ”

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, All thoughts and opinions are my own,

THE WARRIOR CODE is a hybrid of memoir and selfhelp, Tee Marie Hanible shares her struggles growing up in poverty, being abandoned by her mother, joining a gang, surviving an abusive relationship, being a single parent in the military, and generally struggling on a day to day basis with adversity.
Getting sent to military school in a last ditch effort to obtain her GED and her foster sisters support gave her the tools she needed to enter the marines.
Tee later established a nonprofit to pair atrisk kids with marines, was chosen to compete on a reality show, and had a meet and greet with the Obamas.
This book showcases the system she created based on her experiences to help people make big, positive changes in their lives,

The eleven tenets of Tees system are as follows: get grit, get tough, give a helping hand, get out of your own way, remember youre a human being, dont quit, be brave, know your big reason, find your tribe, stand your ground, and practice selfcare.
At the end of each chapter, space for “warrior work” is provided along with directed questions to help apply the principles to the readers unique situation.
Some chapters include subtopics, while others provide a list of actionable steps,

The chapters that resonated most with me were get out of your own way and be brave, The above quotation is from the latter, Also in that chapter, Tee recommends stopping “, . . ceding control over your selfconfidence to the whims of others, ” In this age of hits to our selfesteem based on social media snubs and unsolicited comments on our personal lives, by random strangers and our nearest and dearest alike, this reminder is gold.

I really enjoyed this book and Tees raw and real recounting of her personal struggles, I do wish, however, that shed included a short wrapup chapter at the end of the book, which ends after the chapter discussing her eleventh tenet.
Theres an introduction, but the ending seems a bit abrupt to me, Still I feel empowered and inspired by Tees story and her warrior code,

Thanks to Amazon for the opportunity to read and review this book,

Please note that my review is based on uncorrected text, Great book for realizing new things and getting to a better you, .
