story is great. The extra pages in the middle were tough to get out smoothly and I ended up having to tape the book back together, Love it! Not at all like the original author, Great for those who like new one, I have three boys age,, and, All of them enjoyed this book in one way or another, The colors are very fall and very beautiful and the story is very cute and wholesome, It's our first Pete the Cat book and we are looking forward to buy, What a great book for the “reader” and “readee, ”

now, how did ever come up with THAT number In this book, Pete the Cat learns that while he's sad that summer is ending, there is a lot to love about fall pumpkin pie, apple picking, football with friends! The age recommendation is, but myyear old loves all the colors and learning new fall words like "pumpkin," "maze," and "leaves," so I think it's a great book for introducing toddlers to fall and for reminding school age kids of all the exciting things that fall brings.


One thing I found odd was that in this story the first day of fall and Thanksgiving seem to be the same day, which is not the case in the US.
It works nicely for the story, but could definitely be confusing for kids, I plan

to tell my own kids that Thanksgiving is celebrated on different days in different countries and explain that it has to do with the timing of the harvest.
Maybe we'll look up the different dates and find the one that's closest to Pete's Thanksgiving when they're a little older, Another reviewer said it was a great book to read on the first day of Autumn, I disagree. I bought it to read as a Fall book but it's actually a Thanksgiving book, Here in New Hampshire by the time Thanksgiving rolls around the leaves are LONG GONE and it's really like winter, So reading this book early in the Fall when the leaves are actually turning, it's weird and premature to talk about Thanksgiving Halloween hasn't even happened! but reading it around Thanksgiving is weird too because apples and raking leaves and all that are well in the past.
