aparentemente unitario que en realidad es sólo el prólogo de una saga más larga que aparentemente nunca fue recopilada en tomo.
My interest was sparked in this by the recent Superman and the Authority mini by Morrison when he included the daughter of one of the leads.
I thought there was a collected volume of the entire miniseries and both prestige bookends but it appears I was wrong, so be aware that Im addressing the whole storyline here.
One of the most interesting things about this is that apparently the series was a bit of a miracle in its existence because the authors are both firsttimer unknowns who basically coldpitched the idea to DCs editorial who seemed to love the possibilities.
Ive felt that there is a bit more to the story such as a bit more on how the authors got their traction with the series like already having some kind of previous connection within DC, but if such were the case, Im sure well never know.
The story was not a bad, but a little choppy at times, the pacing could have been better and not all the plotlines were resolved deliberate I suppose as the intent was to continue with these characters beyond this story all throughout the DCU.
It did a wonderful job of introducing its concepts and core characters though, The art by Olivetti was competent but uninspired, His covers were beautifully done, but interiors were lackluster, Sadly, despite the intent here the characters dont really make a splash beyond this story and are quickly forgotten for nearlyyears until Morrison shows an interest and beyond a story in DCscommemorative special the authors are have no further works in comics.
Interesting concept. A spaceship lands on earth, cannot turn off its engines, and is cutting California in half.

JLA are here to basically keep Haven from killing large swaths of California, so we the reader will be sympathetic to the new visitors.
It's been sincesince I've read this, so I am looking forward to going back over the series.
When a city from space crashlands in California skidding across hundreds of miles of cities and towns even the Justice League of America may not be enough to stem the disaster.

This oneshot introduces scores of bizarre and intriguing new charracters to the DC Universe and setes the stage for the upcoming Haven: The Broken City maxiseries.
