book is over sixty years old now, and I do not recommend it as much more than a potential training manual, While some advice might still hold up, reading this without doublechecking information can call for a bad time, As with I think most people, I looked at this book more for the lovely pictures of dogs than for specific information about dog breeds or the care and feeding of dogs.
This is a good enough book for dog lovers, but it doesn't really stand out from the wall there are many books very much like this which can be found in the bargain book piles of Barnes and Noble, etc.
Useful. Makes a good attempt to briefly cover as much as possible, The breed encyclopedia is convenient,

As a side note, I found it odd that both dog books I picked up from my library happened to be British.
But hey, whatever. A dog is a dog I suppose, Took me a minute to figure out that a garden is a yard and a tidbit is a treat, And "identification disk"

That just made me laugh for some reason, All the same, it contained helpful information, The Complete Dog Book combines information o n dog care, including bedding, equipment, safety in the home, feeding and grooming in addition to a comprehensive visual encyclopedia of pedigree dog breeds from around the world.
