My :
Thirtyfiveyear old Emily had been married to Bob foryears but the marriage was stale and wasnt going anywhere and Emily didnt love Bob anymore.
After telling him she was leaving and moving out with their young daughter, Katy, Emily finds a job as a livein caregiver to a ranch owner, Brad and his troubled son, Trevor.
However plain it is for Emily to see that something is seriously wrong with Trevor, its not so easy for Brad, After Emily does a lot of research online, she finally confronts Brad with the information that he can no longer ignore, He has to accept that his boy is different,
Things are also beginning to heat up between Emily and Brad when suddenly this arrogant, whirlwind of the Tazmanian devil comes sweeping through the house.
Its Brads wife, Crystal. She has to be the most ignorant, selfcentered woman Ive ever met and I detested her in the story, Not often a character affects me as much as Crystal did and that means the author did a fantastic job, I just wanted to shake this woman from headtotoe, She had no interest whatsoever in her own child and undermined all the therapy that had been done with Trevor up to that point, Needless to say, she also drove a pretty thick wedge between Emily and Brad to the point that she moved out and was forced to find another job.
Brad is just sick with worry over losing Emily and Katy but has he lost them forever You definitely have to read this book to find out.
I was hooked from the first page to the last, Excellent!!
How do you tell a man there is something wrong with his child
He wasnt looking to love again, But what he got was a woman who shook his lonely bitter world upside down, and touched him in a way no other woman could.

her forever This book was Fantastic, once I started I could not stop.
Lorhainne Eckhart has done a great job of writing a love story that is very real and believable, I found myself getting emotionally involved with the characters and the plot, It is a tale triumph over love over greed and selfishness, Loved it! I rarely review what I read but in this case it must be said,
My first issue is the constant grammar mistakes and awkward sentence structure, I repeatedly had to go back and reread to try and understand what author meant, My high school English teacher wouldn't have let me turn in a paper with half of the mistakes in this book,
I also found the characters flat and unrelateable, The relationships weren't well cultivated and I often found the actions and motivations unbelievable,
The author could have done more or better research on autism, She didn't do a good job accurately portraying a child on the autism spectrum, I am appalled at the number of people who now think they know more about autism after reading this book,
Overall, this is just not a good book, not even as a light summer read, My Opinion:
I started the book very intrigued, wondering if it'll rate a "eh,okay" or an "OMG, this is amazing, " I am happy to tell you guys it rated the later, It was a wonderfully inspiring read, something that is unusual for a romance novel, Many times I was moved to tears in a good way, The Forgotten Child is an inspiration to all parents struggling with children whom are autistic, There are to messages of this novel "Don't give up" the first, and "Don't give in, "
The Good
The novel started out in a way that draws readers in, I know, I talk about this a lot, but I feel it is very important for a work of fiction to start in a way that is attractive to the reader, so they'll want to read it all the way through.
Story line is an instant attraction, From the first chapter, I was instantly in love with book, hoping, waiting for the happilyeverafter after all, it's a romance,
The protagonists make mistakes, We all want a read that is easy to get into, but also effortless when it comes to imagining the characters as real people, We want it too be easy to imagine ourselves as them, so of course they can't seem too perfect, too unreal,
The Bad
The characters can be awkward, In some parts, I felt the characters dialogue was not as smooth as it should be, I don't if it was purposely that way, that's just my opinion,
Feelings moved a little quickly, At one point, Brad is in lust, ready to have sex, but not make love, then all the sudden, is falling in love, feelings running high.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it's realistic, but anyways,
The book was fantastic! It was a pleasure to read, and I'm sure I'll be reading it over again when I have some free time.
Recommendations
Anyone who likes a good contemporary romance, with an inspirational feel would love it, Actually, I would say any women's fiction reader would enjoy The Forgotten Child, I received this ebook, "The Forgotten Child", from the author Lorhainne Eckhart, The Forgotten Child is a awesome book full of emotional intensity that carries the reader into Emily's world where she is fed up with her nogood husband and decides the time has come to make a longneeded change.
She takes her daughter Katy and hires on as housekeeper, nanny and cook for Brad who is a rancher and a father to an autistic son.
It takes Emily some time to make Brad aware that the problems with his son are medical ones and that he needs special care and attention.
Just as Emily settles into her position in the house and into a budding romantic role with her boss, his runaway wife returns and upsets the whole apple cart.
Poor Emily is ousted and humiliated until Brad sees what's really going on and takes steps to straighten out the mess in his life, Until the end, a lot of heartache and trauma happen that force the reader to keep turning the pages,
Struggling with if this book isorstars, I picked this book up because I thought the autism part of it sounded interesting, I liked Emily, but she was too much of a pushover, I also felt like the book was possibly misogynistic Emily kept saying she wanted a man to take care of her and Brad didn't treat Emily as an equal.
Brad wasn't that likeable he got better as the book went on, but was mean and rude when Emily fell in love with him, So that made me question Emily, However, I did keep reading the book and didn't abandon it, so that's better than the last book I attempted!,
