The rules govern her every move to make her marriage “perfect” and Lennon better wake up and realize his wife is dedicated to her marriage to the point where she might need a new address where the walls are much softer and they dont let you have shoestrings.

While a bit of a narcissist and just a wee bit insane IMHO Penola is working at that perfect marriage and nothing make that NOTHING! is going to stop her from giving
iteven if Lennon is clueless about exactly how obsessed his dear wife is to that goal.
The chaos in this short story is great, the humor is dark and edgy but I enjoyed it completely, As a short story it gets a,for originality and dark humor, Might have been nice to have it longer but I think Dicey got the story told nicely in a compact form and by the time it is over you are really going to like Penola in spite of her wee break from sanity you are gonna love it.
I mean, a perfect marriage is worth doing anything isnt it This one of the better short stories/novelettes I have read in some time :
Penola is young, beautiful, rich and in pursuit of having the perfect marriage.
She and Lennon have been married a month so have decided to have an island getaway, No business, plenty of sex and hopefully is she follows the rules some time to do the things she wants,
You see, Penola's mother followed a strict set of rules that she thought were the key to a perfect marriage and hoping for the same Penola's following in her footsteps but should someone need guidelines for happiness after only a month of marriage
Penola is definitely a tenacious leading lady who knows how to get what she wants regardless of who comes in the line of fire.
She's ruthless but you've got to love her perspective of things, Lennon's . well he's just Lennon.
This fast paced rom com is just what you need to brighten your day although a word to the wise, if you have a hiccup in your relationship do not follow Penola's rules.
I enjoyed this witty dark comedy it even got a belly laugh out of me, I liked the tongue in cheek not to be taken seriously but unfortunately true, well some of them anyway : old school ideas of how a wife should behave.
I love how the author turned this into a black comedy, and also threw a bit of Laurel and Hardy into the mix, A witty, entertaining read.
