glad there is a third book! I didnt want this series to end, its too good,
Updated on June,
Loved it! At first I forgot everything but I quickly remembered and I enjoyed the story very much, Reed annoyed the majority of the book, Galen had always been the one for mealthough he is a tad too much protective, Both Emma and Galen annoyed me so much, They were both selfish and just, . . ugh! But I got the reasons why they both were, I hated how the story kept bouncing back and forth between Galen and Emma when Emma was talking to Tyrden and Galen was captured by Kennedy, Buuuuut whatever. Good book. Hi book.
I do not believe you needed to exist, Galen and Emma were happy, You did not need to add the conflict of a love triangle, I don't appreciate all the relationship drama there's a point when it gets to be too much for me,
But, you are entertaining enough, The best part was the grandfather, He's a great character.
If I do reread this series again, I'll probably only read the first two books, Neptune
“Emma, I will love you with every breath in my body and beyond my own death, I swear to be your shield, your protector, your worshipper, There is nothing I will deny you, I am yours. ”

A great conclusion to a fun series!
To be honest, I was surprised when I heard there was going to be a third book in this series.
Personally I thought book two had wrapped up the series fairly well, Boy was I mistaken. This book wrapped up any remaining plot holes from the first two books, and gave the readers the ending they've been wishing for,
After the death of Rachel in Of Triton, Galen has been having a rough time, He and Emma agree that some time away from everyone, just the two of them would be the best for a while, Before they both leave on their trip, Emma is given a cryptic suggestion from her grandfather for the two of them to head toward the mountains of Tennessee, There, they find a whole community of Syrena and humans living together in peace, including other halfbreeds,
The discovery of the town of Neptune has Galen and Emma at odds with each other, Emma has finally found a place where there are others like her, and Galen sees a community breaking the law.
Angst and drama ensues.
I really liked the beginning of this book, it started off very strong, but somewhere around the middle of the book it faded out for me and continued that way.
I thought it was strange that pretty much right away Emma and Galen started fighting and not seeing eye to eye, because by the third book, these two should really be on the same page and not be indulging in angsty teen drama even though I secretly loved it.
The ending was way too quick, it went from build up to gt everyone's good and happy now in,seconds. So closure was not exactly perfect, but congrats to the author on an enjoyable teen series, I will be recommending this to teen patrons at work in the future,
I've mentioned this in previous reviews on other sites that I don't really understand why the author switches her point of views between first and third person.
Is there any real reason why Emma is first person and Galen is third Because I found it to be unnecessary and distracting,
Honestly, this series is a guilty pleasure read for me, as it does a good job at dealing out angst,
And as I always say, means I liked it/enjoyed it, I just didn't love this/wouldn't reread it, I promised to update so here I am, There are so many things to talk about this book, but I don't want to spoil anything, I'll just leave a general review here,
Pros:
Just as the first and the second book, I love the characters, I'm so overwhelmed to see how they dealt with each other, especially when they argue, They know how to solve them in their matured relationship way of arguing, Hahaha. I also love the writing and the plot where most of them as I have expected it gonna happen not actuallypredicted it will happen but, . . I guess you guys know what I'm trying to say, right
Cons:
The only thing I'm very disappointed with is our main female character Emma, who most of the time has been acting like s by being too stubborn and selfcentered.
She was not acting as she normally acts in bookand book, She's more matured. Gosh, I hate her so much in this book almost giving up on my reading, But, yeay! I'm done with this,
If you guys are searching for mermaid type of book, I really recommend you guys with this trilogy, Even though it isn't perfect, but it's quite good since it difficult for me to search for a mermaid story story, This book was not necessary, It should have been a duology, I would have been PERFECTLY happy with just that,
Not every YA series needs to be a trilogy, Duology is just as good!books, books, books, It doesn't matter. What authors need to figure out is which number of books best suits their storyline, I feel like authors these days feel thatbooks is the amount that they need to produce, It kills me because it hurts some series, Like The Syrena Legacy series, I have a fondness for the series, I really enjoyed the series, until I read this book, Now it's been reduced to a fondness,
I'll list out my problems with this book,
. There's a feeble attempt at a love triangle in this book,
I'm not sure if it's a love triangleesque element or if it's an attempt to shake up Emma and Galen's relationship, Either way, so not cool, It took away from the storyline! This other guy is such a weak character compared to Galen, He really didn't stand a chance, and I hated the wasted pages on him,
. A whole new storyline is introduced,
The whole point of a series is to continue the plot/problem of the series, It just builds and builds and builds throughout the books, Not here it doesn't! There is a new plot and storyline, Totally separate from the other books, It wasn't even original. The idea was overused and warped into a Syrenatype problem,
. The characters were annoying.
They were consumed by petty jealousy, They were either bickering or making out, Not realistic at all.
I read this book a long time ago, so I can't quite remember my other reasons for disliking this book, I LOVED the other two books, this one fell short for me,

The conclusion of the Syrena Legacy series I said it before, I never like the final book in any series this one included.
I truly liked this series so don't get me wrong there, but what bothered me the most about this book was, . . drum roll one character in particular, Emma,
I almost want to say that I have no idea what it is about her that is so irksome, but that isn't quite true since I know exactly what it is.
It's really a combination of things: she's fickle, naive, selfish, . . and that's just the tip of the iceberg! While I could, for the most part, stand her in the previous books, I just could not stomach her in this one.
You have no idea how much I wanted to ring her scrawny little neck! Here's why: for someone who "claims" to love Galen and what not, it sure is funny how once they have a disagreement she goes and flirts with another guy and kisses him on top of that.
Her ridiculous logic is, "well I just don't know where I stand will Galen I'm not sure if we're even still together!" cue the whiny, damselindistress voice, It's not like they had even broken up, and she's already gallivanting around town with another dude, What's even worse is that she had suspected that something may have happened to Galen during this time, So basically, she was more worried about another dude than her own boyfriend,
Then you have Emma free falling into the unknown, when it concerns the town of Neptune, You don't know these people, so how are you so sure they aren't plotting something despicable Oh that's right, you don't which is probably why you almost were caught up! I could totally see Emma running into traffic because she thinks she'll "find herself" there like she thought in Neptune.
She has no qualms about endangering others it's very unbecoming of her, to be honest,
Anyways enough about her, Galen is well. . Galen: too nice for his own good, I like him though, and I admire his bravery in times of turmoil, There wasn't much of Nalia, Rayna or Grom, so I don't really have an opinion on them but I like their characters as well, Reed is actually funny, in an annoying, girlfriend stealing kind of way,
The plot was great, as I wasn't sure where it was leading, I do want to see more of the story just to see how everything works out, Also to see if Emma and Galen have
little sea children together gag!,
