The author could learn from the Hunger Games.
I believe that one could read the first book and be done, But because the characters and situation were compelling, I wanted to keep reading more books in the series.

I want to keep reading more, but I have to decide how much to invest, We'll see it goes on my wish list, The first episode was well written but I didn't like the characters or the premise, The plot got a little better in the next two episodes, but was still slow and full of details I didn't care about.
