Get It Now Catch Your Breath (The OLearys, #4) Conceived By Shannyn Schroeder Released Through EPub

received a copy of Catch Your Breath in exchange for an honest review as part of Tasty Tours,

Moira O'Leary is an up and coming reporter on the verge of a huge story, but what she really whats in life is what her brothers have.
She wants to love someone and to be loved back, She wants her own family, Unfortunately, Moira has two problems and they both have to do with one man Jimmy O'Malley, Moira's first problem is that she's been in love with him for as long as she can remember, The second problem He only sees her as Liam's little sister, Or does he Jimmy has always thought that there was something about Moira that drove him crazy, He knows that he needs to keep his distance from her, but that has become increasingly difficult now that she's helping his undercover investigation, Sparks fly as they work together, but what will her brothers say

I adored this book, First of all, look at the cover, Oh, my gosh! I could just stare at the cover for hours upon hours, Yum Okay, back to the book, I loved the story. I wasn't expecting the little added mystery surrounding Jimmy's undercover investigation, but I really enjoyed that element of the story, The buildup of Moira and Jimmy's relationship was fantastic, Jimmy really started off the book wanting to continue to treat Moira as his best friend's little sister, but she was over that, I was waiting for her to just clunk him over the head, If he left her hanging one more time, I might have clunked him, I loved Jimmy, but I had a little bit of a problem with Moira, Overall, I loved her character, but I just wanted to yell at her when she kept putting herself in the middle of things, Whether it was an argument between her brother and Jimmy's or putting herself smack dab in Jimmy's investigation, I felt like she was always ignoring the wishes of others by putting herself in danger and I wanted to slap some sense into her, Snap out of it, Moira!

This was my first time reading one of Shannyn's books and it won't be my last, I loved Shannyn's writing. There are some pretty steamy scenes in the book that'll fog up any mirror, There are also hysterically funny scenes with Jimmy and Moira, My favorite came at the beginning of the book when he hopes to scare her into looking after herself and Moira's response was to throw a jar of wax at him.
I need to get caught up with the first books in the O'Leary series and I can't wait until the next book is published,

Original review can be found on my blog sitelinkCrystal Blogs Books, Catch Your Breath was an interesting read, I enjoyed the humorous back and forth of the characters as well as the family interaction, Both lent a fun spin to the book, I also loved the best friend's sister and the best friend getting together, especially because they had an interest in each other from when they were young.
Call me anything but I love the couples that have a lot of background, I love when they've known each other forever and finally get together, It just seems to work out so well and the fact that they have a past makes things more interesting because they can skip over all the getting to know you bit.

Then there was Moira, She's lively, fun and invigorating, She helps to grab the reader's attention, and draw them in, I found myself reading just to see what Moira was going to do or say, It was amusing and she kept things light,

Then there were some of the opinions that the characters had, For example, Moira mentions that Escorts are viewed as bad or terrible people when the men who hired them are seen as okay, It's an interesting opinion and I liked when the characters would go back and forth about it, It was different and engaging,

Catch Your Breath is being released on Julyrd, Be sure to check it out! Oh! And I almost forgot! This book is part of the O'Leary series but can be read as a standalone!

Moira O'Leary fell for neighbor Jimmy O'Malley when she was ten years old and he became her protector.
Now that he's back home and working as a detective for the Chicago PD, he's still treating her like his best friend's kid sister, She's a newspaper reporter and when she stumbles into his undercover operation, Moira sees not only a chance for a great story but the time to force his hand and make him notice her as a woman.

Moira and Jimmy
Moira's bubbly and just utterly likable, even though she's a talkaholic, Jimmy's more taciturn and hard to read, He listens more than she thinks and has kept her at arm's length because of his friendship with her brother, Plus, he's the de facto head of his own family who have loads of issues,

What I enjoyed
Moira's resilience and high spirits are infectious, even when she's doing risky things, The undercover operation added an element of light suspense that made the story more interesting, While I was rooting for Moira, I also was struggling with Jimmy, It wasn't until the end of the story that I grasped how his control issues made sense, He came pretty close to being in my antihottie harem, even bringing me close to wishing Moira would walk away, His backstory, though, is heartwarming

and was my reminder that he was worth her efforts,

The bottom line
This is the O'Leary's series so family plays a huge role in the story, The brothers' over protectiveness went beyond reasonable at times but Moira holds her own, This is clearly her story and she's what makes and keeps it interesting, I'm glad she finally earned the respect of her family and has progressed beyond being just the "little sister" in the eyes of everyone, including her man, Jimmy.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review Great Romance with much excitement

Jimmy and Moira, wow! Many tropes to choose from included in this read, and all great.

Jimmy and Moira have known each other all their lives, growing up as they did in the same neighborhood, She's also the little sister to Liam, who happens to also be Jimmy's best friendhooboy, She's had a crush on Jimmy since wbw, and hasn't kept it a secret, Jimmy, however has ignored her, . . until now. She's bubbly and talkative, while he's, . . not, he is hot though, He's a Police Detective. She's a free lance news reporter, Yup, no problem there either LoL, until their working case crosses a line, or at least blurs the separation in all ways that matter,
Excellent storyline, kept me hooked until that HEA I always love, gave me my happy sigh,
First time I've read this author, and I'll just say I've now ordered the rest of this series,
This can certainly stand on it's own, but is also book four in the series, I do look forward to reading more from the O'Leary's and hopefully the rest of this wonderfully large neighborhood in Chicago, Catch Your Breath is the fourth book in Shannyn Schroeders OLearys Series, Even though it is the fourth book, it is a standalone read,

Moira OLeary is the oldest girl and fifth of six children, She has watched her brothers fall in love within the last year or so, Shes starting to realize that that is something she wants for herself, Moira is a reporter who for the most part only writes articles about charity events and parties within the Chicago area, Moira has a passion for journalism, but no one in her family takes her or her job seriously,

Jimmy OMalley is the oldest of the five OMalley children, Hes a former soldier who moved back home to take care of his father, Jimmy has worked his way up in the Chicago PD and was recently promoted to detective, Being an unknown puts Jimmy in a good position when the mayor needs someone to go undercover,

Moira and Jimmy have known each other almost their whole lives, Moira, in fact, has had a crush on Jimmy most of her life, For Jimmy, its just a struggle to remember that Moira is his friends little sister and that he needs to stay away from her, Jimmys undercover job and Moiras job put them on a collision course to end up working together, Moiras easy going charm and reckless behavior puts Jimmy on edge, With her consistent pushing, the two finally give into their feelings,

The back and forth between these two can be a little irritating, but I completely see why these two work, Since he was a child, Jimmy has had the need to protect and doesnt really allow himself to relax and have fun, With Moira, Jimmys protective instincts have to be on high alert but she also has the ability to get him to relax and have fun, Moira loves her job but puts herself and it down because her family and other people do, Jimmy is able to see how good a writer she is and sees her like no one else does,

Moira is a one woman wrecking crew who blows into Jimmys life and gives him everything hes ever wanted but was afraid to hope for.

Moira and Jimmy have known each other their whole lives.
That's what happens when you grow up next door to each other, Moira has always driven Jimmy crazy and he doesn't know how to handle her, Which is difficult when you need to be in constant control, What will happen when their lives are forced to collide Will Jimmy give Moira a chance

Catch your Breath was alright for me, It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing, There were times that I felt like the story dragged on more than it needed to, Then on the same hand I felt like more could have been developed on the side with Moira and Jimmy's friends and family, heck even Jimmy's case and Miora's article.
There was just something missing for me,
I hope if you take a chance on Catch your Breath you enjoy it,

Moira is on of the two girls in the OLeary clan but a reporter to boot.
Shes been in love with Jimmy OMalley, her brother Liams best friend, since they were kids, Now the find themselves in a theft case that could be career changing for both, The question to ask is if their newfound relationship can, The thing that struck me was Liams reaction to them together, Fun! Nothing like a little intrigue, Kensington Books has graciously provided me with a complimentary copy of this book, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review, Thank you!

Moira OLeary has been in love with Jimmy OMalley ever since she was ten years old too bad for her that he has never given her the time of day.
Little does she know that Jimmy has always been every bit as fascinated by Moira as she is by him, but as his best friends little sister she is completely off limits so he does the only thing he knows will discourage her he ignores her.

By her late twenties Moira has had her fair share of relationships, but shes never met the man who can make her toes curl with a kiss.
She has a strong suspicion Jimmy is that man, but she has never been able to get him to like her, Determined to meet her match, Moira decides to start being proactive not just in her love life, but also her career, Moira is a reporter, but has failed to make a name for herself, Hurt by the fact that those around her see her only as a party girl writing fluff pieces on high society events, she is determined to start writing important pieces that will get her noticed and shes determined to meet her match.

Moira is not the only one set on making a name for herself, Jimmy, a new detective, has no intention of remaining a detective for the rest of his life, Determined to climb the ranks, Jimmy cant wait for his big break that one case that will get him a foot in the door,

When Jimmy is assigned an undercover gig to get to the bottom of secret high stakes robberies among the citys rich and famous, the last person he expects to see at his first party is Moira OLeary.
He actively avoids her, yet she manages to sneak her way into his life anyway, Recognising a story waiting to happen, Moira offers Jimmy a deal she'll help him get the information he needs in exchange for an exclusive interview once the case is closed.
Jimmy wants none of it, but his partner convinces him to agree, Moira, being a confidante of the elite, turns out to be Jimmys ticket to the inner circle, helping him to become a part of the group he needs to investigate.
Who are robbing these men, and why do they refuse to report it

When Moiras first serious article happens to cross into Jimmys investigation, Jimmy is insistent that Moira stay out of it but Moira has no intention of letting Jimmy control her, and she just might be his secret weapon in cracking the case wide open if only he wasnt too stubborn to see it.

Catch Your Breath by Shannyn Schroeder is the fourth book in the OLearys series, Each book can be read as a standalone, Catch Your Breath is slated to be published onJuly,

I was invested in Moira and Jimmys relationship from the getgo, The author managed to endear both of them to me, they complement each other really well, and I can totally see them as a couple,

The storyline is an interesting one, the dialogue is realistic and the dynamics of the relationships are believable, The characters are interesting and compelling, and the author does a good job of relating their inner psyches, I understood Moiras need to prove herself as a serious reporter, and Jimmys need to control everything in his life also, consequently his fear of Moira, being completely unable to control her.
The fact that Jimmy cant control Moira makes me like her all the more, In fact, I got a little frustrated with Jimmys highhanded tactics, It did annoy me that Moira constantly had to convince Jimmy to want to be with her, up to the very end, and she was always the one who initiated everything, so I was a little disappointed that she didnt at least get him grovelling in the end but then, I guess Jimmy is not the kind of man who will grovel, and the fact that she loves and accepts him just as he is, is what makes Moira, Moira.

I was a little disappointed by the ending of the book, given that expected a much more tense conclusion regarding the case, and the reader never even learns who are robbing these men.
The author indicated that they were very dangerous several times, but we never learn their identities or motives, The sexual content in the book is also more explicit than I prefer, and I ended up skipping those scenes,

All in all I enjoyed the book, liked the characters and the storyline kept my attention, I am intrigued by Moira's brother, Liam, Jimmy's brother Kevin and his sister, Norah, The author does a good job of balancing the major characters and the minor characters, and I would be interested in learning their stories,
