Much in the same spirit as Baraka, this is a beautiful and inspiring focus for observing humanity, though it does carry a strong AngloAmerican bias in orientalizing Other cultures.

Hardcover, huge, heavy photojournalism, poetry, history . . it's a beaut. Some of the rituals make me sad at what a culture forces other members to go through, I didn't finish reading all the text, The pictures are great. Very powerful. .
