Seize Pentacle Bound (Claimed By The Goddess, #2) Published By Rozie Marshall Categorized In Paper Copy
the end of book, Luna finally found the prophecy book that the Goddess has been telling her to find, Honestly I thought she was daft that she didn't investigate the humming earlier or mention it to anyone, I don't even know about magic but I was sure it had something to do with the book!

In this book, the Goddess actually appears to her in a vision and tells her to hurry up and claim all her guys.
Still, she takes her own sweet time, By the end of the book, she has claimed the incubus, Ryzeth, the angel, Zuriel, and the kitsune shifter, Dane, but that's all.
So she still has six men to claim and the six all show up in this book, so they're all present and available to be claimed, she just isn't doing it.
The issue is the same one that Gabby faced in the Hemlock Academy series by Kelsey Soliz: Luna doesn't want to force anyone, wants to make sure that each man is comfortable and ready for the claiming, give them time to adjust to the new dynamic within the large harem, doesn't want to have sex just for the sake of having to claim them, wants to get to know them first before jumping into bed with them.
And, like when I read Hemlock Academy, I wanted to yell: YOU DON'T HAVE THE LUXURY OF TIME HERE!!! There are bigger things at stake, just get on with it!!

Honestly, first it's the angel who is terrified that his special peen will be too much for her to take, so he's terrified about having sex with her.
Then it's the kitsune shifter who is too cocky and put her off, so that she doesn't even want to kiss him good night, Then it's the fae and vampire who have been in ayear relationship with said vampire having jealousy issues over having to share his partner with someone new.
Then it's one of the four elementals being an asshat because he also has jealousy issues because he has been with the others foryears, since they all sparked for each other when they were seven.

Fine, the jealousy issues are realistic for an RH, especially withmen in the harem, But there are so many things getting in the way of Luna just claiming them that it was kinda annoying, So much filler happens in between because we have to wait for people to get their heads on straight, A lot of the filler is sex, and to me, a book which is built around sex is boring, If I just wanted smut, I'd go read erotica, I read RH and romance because I want story and feelings,

And all the filler and sex made me feel that there was no urgency, There's no sense that time is running out, the prophecy is coming to fruition, we'd better get ready and have everything in place so that we're ready to roll when the time is right.
No rushing. No concern. No jumping into action. Instead, what we get is reading bits and pieces of the prophecy at time because it gets too overwhelming: let's just stop after reading this portion, give us time to digest it, it's a lot to take in.
Stick our heads in the sand or cover our ears and go, "Lalalalala," for awhile, don't look at the book for a few days or weeks, who knows, and meanwhile just have plenty of sex to take our minds off the scary prophecy that we don't want to think about.
I was ROLLING MY EYES,

There are a few bits of Luna learning new magic because each time she claims a new mate, she gains a new power from him, But these are very few and far between, especially since she only claims three guys in this book, She keeps getting freaked out whenever she sparks with someone new, even though she knows she'll eventually havemen, She freaked out so much that when she sparked with Ty, one of the elementals, while shaking hands, she literally pulled her hand away from his and ran away! Okay, so it's overwhelming, but it was a really childish way of dealing with things.
More sticking head in the sand,

Luna's insistence on trying to spend equal time with all of the men and not letting any of them feel left out felt reminiscent of Their Vampire Queen by Joely Sue Burkhart.
But, I still felt that she spent more time with some compared to others, In this book, River seems relegated to the background, as she hardly spends any time with him except together with the angel Zuriel, Even flirty and horny Liam doesn't get much time with her he's mostly busy cooking and bringing her coffee in the mornings, After she claims the incubus Ryzeth, they hardly have any oneonone time again, She spends the most time with Dane because he's often cuddled up to her in fox form, comforting her when she has one of her freakout episodes or is upset about something.
She doesn't even have much time with the faevampire pair Everette and Lucien, mostly because they are a pair so they tend to be on their own, The four elementals come into the picture during the second half of the book and she spends no time with them because one, she's too busy with the other guys, and two, one of them is a douchebag so she kicks him out and then spends a whole day crying and not talking to anyone or eating anything.
So I'm not really feeling the development of relationships here, despite the author slowing down the claimings to supposedly allow relationships to develop,

With nothing much happening in this book to advance the plot, this book didn't contribute much to the story arc except to finally bring allmates together, with only half of them claimed by the end of the book.
Two for a book that's full of sex but no other action, Wow she is getting way more men, I'm not sure how I feel about that at all but it is still very interesting, I loved the first installment of this series very much, This is no exception. I must say that the grammatical errors are still there but not as prevalent as they were in the first book, If you can get past that then this is a really good RH PNR series, I personally think that more thanguys is hard to keep up with even if there is m/m, m/f, and m/f/m scenes, Which there are a lot of them, If you like more story and less sex this may not be for you, If you like menage or RH at a maximum ofor so guys this is not for you, At the end of this series there will bemen and one woman, So keep that in mind if you feel you can't keep up, I normally get bored afterand most of the time the guys are exactly the same after that number without much story to them, I think the author does a great job of making each man interesting and unique from each other, They work well with the storylines, The only reason I won't give this bookis that I think it could be better with a bit of proofreading, It managed to take me out of my comfort zone ofguys and kept my interest without sacrificing the plot, I tried

Got to themark and threw in the towel, Luna, is an idiotic, manipulative, spoiled brat! She's basically telling her guys that she doesn't want them lonely and therefore have at each other when she can't be around.
One instance had me seeing red where it seemed like she forced two of them to be intimate, They were having a hard time dealing with their attractions, and she went ahead and paved the way by telling them what she wanted to see, like a selfish bword, and the reluctant one went ahead and did as she requested.
I heard him loud and clear everytime he vocalized how he was unsure of how he felt about being with another man, but no, . . what Luna wants Luna gets!

Now, at themark she kicks a guy out for being angry at his "mate" and calling her EXACTLY what I wish I could write in this review.
She threw a hissy fit, like a child, and dared said that Ashe was being childish over his anger and hurt, . . and I just want to slap the bratty Luna,

I had reservations from the first book, but decided to go ahead and try and make it through the series, No. I can't. I don't like Luna at all! She irritates me, the guys are getting on my nerves with giving in to her whims, It's TOXIC, their whole relationship is terrible, What ever happened to the first, who were so at odds about their jealousies and trying to make it work, None were happy when more guys showed up, and they aren't even really together any more, The more guys who show up, the more thosefirst ones have forgotten about each other and branched out to corrupting and giving in to their desires for the shiny new guys.
Like Ugh! It's borderline disgusting how half of them only spark with her and the others just get it on with nonsparked, all because Luna says she can't be there for everyone, so go ahead and have a free for all, if it makes you happy, I don't care.
It's just not right!

Don't even get me started on the prophecy that they have YET TO EVEN READ THE WHOLE THING! That should be priority numberbut no, Luna wants everyone to get it on all the time, so the focus is always about smutty times.
I'm just done. Look i need SOME ONE to be a priority an a RH book,

DNF just under, the issues I had in the first book EXPLODE in thend, If you are reading this for smut alone this is your book, go forth and enjoy, because it remains incredibly sexy and mirrors the first book in that regard.

My issues with this are tied to the romance alone, I just don't like the harem men being just as attracted an in love with each other as our leading lady, "Love" and devotion in this book cheapens the meaning, I'm all for people lusting for each other but, .

For example, in the last book there was a soulmate bond between our firstguys, there was major jealousy from the men that they all loved each other.
It's mainly worked out in the first book, however in this one one of the original men just randomly is like , wow i have loved this other dude this whole time and never said anything about it and hes going to fit into our lives just as well, AND NO ONE CARES.
no jealously, not 'uhhh am i not special" nothing, The book lost the thread for me, I need some form of nod that someone means more/less to everyone else,

In this regard this feels like a 'everyone loves everyone Polyamory/Polyandry book' its less a reverse harem since the harem all love each other just as much as the MC, and that's TOTALLY FINE if that is the kind of book you want.
It just bothered me.

The final 'toss the book across the room' moment was when a "straight" guy comes into the harem, and before he even does anything with our leading lady one of the other harem men is like 'you sure you don't like dick' and then proceeds to blow the dude off.
feelings happen thereafter.

nope, bye.

Actually.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!
I usually don't enjoy fast burn books but this one is really good!!
I love all the m on m action, and I'm intrigued to see her claiming the rest of her men!! Especially Slade and his preference.
. .
I'm also loving all the emotional moments, and naughty bits aka the banter but also the action
I'm also looking forward to seeing Luna growing into her full magical potential

The overall storyline was okay, I do like the idea of predestined “mates” that spark, . . but twelve Now I have seen larger harems, one had eleven, so I know it can be done, but I just dont think it flowed well, There were several parts that I were extremely hard to follow who was talking to who, and a few parts that I think the author even fumbled a bit keeping track.
I just felt like with so many some of the guys were forgotten, Overall, its a good little read but there was room for improvement, Ill still read the next one, very aggravating read

The more I keep reading these books, the more annoyed I get with all of the characters, All stories need to have highs and lows, All stories need to have good things happen so rather bad can be at least somewhat balanced, Here is how this series goes:

Man: I cant be with you Luna, such and such is the problem
Luna: I wont force you, Ill wait until youre ready,
Goddess: you cant wait or you and the whole world will die, claim your men
Story: something happens to make Luna run away crying
Sex
Luna: reads prophecy, meets new man, runs away crying, this is all too much to handle!
Goddess: you need to claim your men!
Man: I cant be with you Luna.
such and such is the problem, I dont want to hurt you,
Luna: I wont force you, . . he doesnt want me!! Cry cry cry
Story: something happens to make man run away crying,
Goddess: hurry up and claim your men!!
Luna: Im not ready!
Sex
Luna: reads prophecy, meets new man, runs away crying, this is all too much to handle!
Someone/ everyone is jealous about something/everything
Repeat above

That is the entire series of books so far.
The only thing that happens that isnt negative is the sex, . . and sometimes they cry during sex too! And the amount of time they spend being unsure of having sex or the time spent talking about whether or not to have sex is aboutof the book.
Dawsons creek yall. .
