Go” is a grace filled, refreshing book for women, Walshs writing is very encouraging, reminding women that Gods grace is fresh every day, despite our tendency to give our worries and fears over to him only to continually take them back again.
We all long to be set free, whether its from difficult circumstances, past events, unforgiveness, recurring habits, fear, loneliness, etc.
She reminds us that “God is not a Scout leader or etiquette coach, . . his love for us is not based on our behavior, . . its based on his heart and his character, ” She also points out that its much easier to extend grace to others when we are satisfied with Gods grace ourselves.
Next, she moves into specific reasons we have trouble letting go and addresses them Biblically, For example,
Ch.addresses the tendency to live in the past, Ch,fleshes out the importance of looking ahead, Ch,takes a look at bitterness, and Ch,tackles shame.

I enjoyed the discussion of temptation, Walsh points out that whatever form the temptation takes, the common thread will be the amount of time and energy it requires.
Satans strategy is to preoccupy us with ourselves so were not preoccupied with God, Temptation usually comes in one of three areas: satisfying immediate felt needs, finding an easy way out of suffering, or giving in to charisma over character.
Each of these is discussed in light of Satans tempting of Jesus, She repeatedly encourages her readers to simply embrace what God has already done for us and rest in him rather than trying so hard to do everything right, which makes us focus on ourselves and our shortcomings rather than him.

I found the book truly encouraging, and especially enjoyed the quotes at the beginning and the reflection questions and prayer at the end of each chapter.
Walsh has a beautiful heart for God and it shines through clearly in her writing, This would be a great book to read and discuss with a group of friends, Sheila Walsh in her powerful book, LET GO, speaks truth into life's struggles: God loves you right now nothing you can do to make God love you more.
. . or less. In a transparent sharing of her own challenges, she encourages us, drawing us to God's promises of love, presence, grace, mercy amp hope.

I love anything Sheila Walsh writes, She has a gift. This book wasn't quite what I expected it to be, It would speak really well to someone who is at a serious low point, But I was hoping more for something that would be about living the day to day, Let Go: Live Free of the Burdens All Women Know by Women of Faith speaker Sheila Walsh is an eighteen chapter book that uses scripture verses and stories to illustrate the point that God loves us all and never gives us a burden that He can not handle.
Each chapter has a few questions under the title of "Deliverance Discovered" along with a prayer,

The chapter titles were clichéd The Millionwatt Megabulb of God's Hope, for exampleand rather than serving to draw the potential reader in, felt insulting and belittling.
The stories she includes in the beginning of each chapter don't ring true when set in the time of Christ.
They feel too much like amateur actors trying to be relevant, One woman seems to know without having met Jesus that He is God and prays to Him when he detours around her town to the other side of a lake.

Some of the scripture was taken from The Message Bible, whose "contemporary" wording is, at best, distracting to anyone with more than a passing knowledge of Scripture, and at worst, inaccurate.
One quote has Jesus saying, "If you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life.
. . " The questions at the end of each chapter become too predictable, often merely rewording the title in the form of a question.

While a valiant effort, I don't think this book lives up to its potential, The book could have been pared down into booklet form, or, conversely, taken its few hidden jewels and gone deeper for a much more satisfying read.
Burdened. The word alone makes shoulders sink, It slows down our lives, It clouds our vision. It is the result of so many memories, grudges, fears, uncertainty, and stress, It is heavy.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest, " Matt:

Overworked Overcommitted Overtired Underappreciated" "

"Let go and live free, "

Sound impossible Sheila Walsh thought so until God proved himself again and again through his Word, his people, and her life.

In "Let Go," the bestselling author and speaker walks readers through the journey to freedom in Christ, Along the way, she tackles some of the toughest struggles that weigh women down, answering them with overwhelming truth, promise, and hope.

You "can" lay down your burdens, You "can" rest. You "can" find peace. You "can" "live free. "

Start here. Let Go. And see what God can do, I already at page/and I decided that it will be in my uncompleted bookshelve as I don't think I can keep turning the pages anymore.
Love how candid Shiela Walsh is with her personal struggles, Lots of highlights and notes in this book! I got to work with Sheila for a few years, so I'm probably biased by the fact that she's a truly wonderful person and a joy to work with.
With that in mind, I really enjoyed reading this book, learned from her points, and was impressed by her vulnerability.
If you are a person that easily takes on more than they can handle, this book will help you with laying down some of their burden.
Also for anyone that needs to let go of dysfunctional lifestyles and people, Good read!
