We have already mentioned the name of Mr, Peirce, the Superintendent, who resides with his family in one of the wooden houses, The Farmer, Mr. A. E. Boynton, resides in another. The two Matrons already appointed are Mrs, C. M. S. Carpenter and Mrs. Mary M. Willard.
For a chapel for the Institution, a small church, standing in the village of South Lancaster, has been purchased, and will be moved to the grounds.
There are handsome bookcases in the workrooms, and the beginning of a library but we should think the donation of books might be acceptable.
