For instance, only two or three sentences are allotted for information about the actual murder, which isn't enough to make the rather oddball murder mechanism plausible, or even clear.
There's interesting color, especially on legal tactics, but with the poor construction, this is basically a "romp" novel, where one savors the moment and the wit, and that's all.
