R. Lynn writes a good suspense book, They usually are unpredictable, heart in mouth edge of seat reading and page turners, Im never bored with any books by this author,
Amish man Luke Beiler had an accident five years ago, After that accident he woke up thinking he wasbut he was actually, He had lost five years of his life and he still couldnt remember anything about those lost years in betweenand, Then he started sensing someone he knew from somewhere in his past needed him, He had visions of a woman named Jennie with long dark hair, Jennie was in trouble and she needed him, The only Jennie that Luke knew was a girl that used to work a mission with him and his Uncle in another town, building houses for the needy.
He hadnt seen Jennie in years but somehow he knew she was in trouble and he had to help her, He even knew how and where to find her but couldnt understand why he knew these things, All he knew was that he had to get to her and help her, He was driven to find her and fulfill this purpose he was drawn too, What lay ahead of him he didnt know but he had to go to Jennies aid and help her,
I recommend this book to readers of suspense books, Love Inspired books and fans of the author, This book is part of a series but it can be read as a Standalone,
I borrowed a copy of this book from the Amazon Prime Members library, A review was not requested, All thoughts and opinions are my own,
This Amish story has an interesting storyline because of Lukes amnesia, Injured in an accident, Luke has no memory of the last five years, As bits and pieces of his memory begins to return, its quite a shock to discover that he has an Englisch wifeand thats not the only surprise thats in store for him as he confronts his forgotten past.
He does realize that his wife, Jennie, is in danger, and he revolves to do anything he can to protect her,
This story is suspenseful and intriguing, and has some unexpected turns in the storyline that makes it difficult to predict how and when Jenny will be targeted by yet someone else.
I liked both Luke and Jennie and enjoyed reading their story, Because of the differences in their livesAmish and Englischit seemed almost impossible for their relationship to have a future, Theres on more twist at the end that sends their story in a different direction, This was a good book from beginning to end,
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, All opinions are my own,
DEADLY AMISH REUNION is theth book in this series, but it stands alone, The scenerio could happen, but I found the timeline rather confusing,
This is formula romantic suspense, complete with a highspeed car chase and allknowing bad guys, There was a twist at the end that surprised me,
I enjoyed this book and recommend it, if you like romantic suspense and Amish,
I was given a copy free, All opinions are my own,
Deadly Amish Reunion is theth book in the Amish Country Justice series by
Dana R, Lynn. As far as I can tell, these books are completely unrelated in one to one another, and as such can be read as standalones, This was the first book I'd personally read in the series, and in fact I didn't even realize it WAS part of the series though I must admit it had me curious to read more from the author anyway!
In Deadly Amish Reunion, we meet Luke Beiler.
He is an Amish man, who after an accident found himself missing years of his memories, Years during which he lived among the Englisch, When he sees an image of a man escaped from prison, something comes back to him a name and a face of a woman, He doesn't know who she is, but he knows she is important, . . and in trouble Jennie. Jennie is shocked to discover her husband is not dead, . . but she doesn't have too long to adjust to the idea finding herself on the run of her life trying to escape danger,
As a Love Inspired Suspense novel, I love knowing that it is going to be a clean and inspirational read, I loved the aspects of faith in this story too, It's a shorter, quick read ideal this time of year, without feeling rushed or lacking, Overall, a really good read and one that I would certainly recommend to fans of Amish Suspense, I look forward to seeing more from this author in the future,
I received a complimentary copy of this book for consideration, All thoughts are my own, Oh My Gosh. This is one of the best Love Inspired Suspense books that I have every read, I could not turn pages fast enough, This book is part of the Amish Country Justice series but the books are all stand alones, I have readof the other books in the series and enjoyed them,
So, when you start this book start it when you have a good few hours to read it, You will not want to put it down, Your heart will be pounding throughout the whole book,
Main Character, Jennie Beiler thought her husband was dead, She is shocked when Luke shows up on her doorstep, He cannot remember what happened to him, and how he hurt his leg, He knows that he needed to protect Jennie but does not remember being married to her, He feels that he needs to find her and can't remember why he knows so much about her,
The chemistry between these characters is so sweet, They have to get to know each other all over again, I am sure that was frustrating for Jennie, During the whole getting to know each other again someone is after Jennie and her son, LJ, Luke knows that he needs to keep her safe, Jennie and her son have been living English, Will bringing them to quiet Amish Country help keep them save,
I really thought I had it figured out who was behind it all, I was not right the author has introduced so many twists and turns throughout the book, Kudos to the author for all the suspense,
I received a copy of this book through JustRead tours all thoughts are my own, When Luke sees a news report that a man has escaped from prison, he knew he meant trouble for someone, The trouble is, he's not really sure who this person is since he'd lost his memory five years earlier,
When Luke shows up on Jennie's doorstep, she gets the shock of her lifethe husband she thought had died five years earlier is very much alive and has no clue who she is.
I love how this story played out, The author made it so that Luke had impressions about Jennie and his former life even as he struggled to regain his memory, Ms. Lynn did a great job showing Jennie's unwillingness to trust others, as well as, the very valid reasons she has for her mistrust,
The action started early in the story and kept up to the end, Jennie and Luke were forced to depend on each other and Jennie found herself turning to the God who she had always believed had abandoned her, She came to realize that God had always been there for her even in the hard situations she had to live through,
Deadly Amish Reunion is a great story that reminds you that as horrible as people can sometimes be to each other, there are still people out there who are willing to help those in need.
We are also reminded that God is with us in every moment of our lives,
I received an advanced reader's copy from the publishers through Just Read Tours a positive review was not required, stelle e mezza
Solita lettura veloce, ma piena di supense, Ero anche curiosa di capire cosa avrebbero fatto i due protagonisti per cercare di stare insieme e non sono rimasta sorpresa della soluzione, Was he dead like she believed Or had something happened to him And for him, what did he do during those missing years
When Luke sees someone on the news as an escaped convict he immediately knows that someone is in trouble and he has to save her.
He doesnt know their connection or how he knows this but he just does, After suffering from amnesia for so long hes used to this feeling that hes missing something,
Turns out he was missing a lot! Missing a wife that is and a son that he cant even remember, Well, truthfully he didnt even know about his son,
Can Luke regain his memories and keep the love of his wife Is there a way they can be together They both cant deny that theyre still in love but hes Amish and shes English and that creates maybe even more problems than the person who wants Jennie dead.
I loved this book, It read quickly and kept me reading from the first word to the last, I cannot recommend it enough,
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received through JustRead Publicity Tours, All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way, All opinions expressed are my own, I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations,
. Quite a Suspense Story
There was a possibility that the plot setup would be so unbelievable that the story would flop, But skillful writing made it a whatisgoingtohappennext event after another that never let up until the end,
Luke lostyears of his life due to, . . well, he doesn't know how, He knows he was on Rumspringa but nothing until he regained consciousness,
Talk about evil stepfathers Steve is evil on two feet and he is determined to get even, He will use anyone or anything to get even, Goal: make that girl pay and kill her,
I'd love to say more but won't, The story needs to develop while reading,
This is quite a good Amish suspense book, I had a bit of an issue with one scene near the end thus the, stars. I recommend this one. No bookmark needed. Once you pick up this book it will be so hard to put down, so make sure you time your reading well, Jennie's life has been difficult especially after losing her husband and finding out she is pregnant, When danger comes to her doorstep so does her husband, He had amnesia and embraced his previous Amish life, He vows to protect her and their son until the danger is gone, but what happens when he must choose his faith, Can Jennie let him go or join him, A story of faith in God and His will be done, WOW! This was a book that kept me at the edge of my seat from page one! It has constant suspense and danger and you're always wondering if a new attack is coming and from where!
Jennie Beiler is scared when she discovers her stepfather escapes from prison.
He attacked her twice when she was young and she testified against him, Luke saved her that second time, and they later got married, But he's been dead for five years after an accident in an explosion and he was presumed dead but his body was never found, She receives a huge shock when she's attacked and Luke saves her from her attacker! Luke, in flesh and alive, but he doesn't remember anything about her, He was found injured and with amnesia and taken back to his Amish Community, But he suddenly got a feeling in his heart that a woman who is important to him is in danger, so he appears in the moment Jennie needs him most.
But the danger follow them every step, and even if Luke doesn't remember his Englisch wife, he vows to protect her, and his newly discovered son of five years!!
The plot is totally intriguing, I don't want to spoil it.
Just to say that they are never safe for one second, and that Luke seeks shelter in his Amish Community, which is important, because everyone will discover he has a wife and not a "Plain"one, and a son they never knew.
Other than the constant edge of your seat suspense, I loved the characters, Jennie was scared and was reluctant to trust Luke at first, so she pulls up her walls, because she knows that with Luke being Amish again, there's no future for them.
But seeing Luke's trust in God, and his selflessness and giving nature in order to protect them in spite of everything will eventually move Jennie's heart, and that is a sight to behold.
Her growing close to God, and Luke trusting God at every turn, Is there a chance for this unexpected family Can they have a future together That is, if they survive the vicious killer
This is a story I definitely recommend! Romantic suspense at its best and with an inspiring message that will leave you happy at the end.
Loved the epilogue!
This book is part of a series but it can be perfectly read as a standalone, This is theth installment in the Amish Country Justice Series from Dana Lynn,
Once I started reading this captivating story I couldn't put it down, The author brings strong characters and a spine tingling suspense,
The story centers around Jennie Beiler, A single mom who's preparing for holidays with heryear old son, A news broadcast captures her attention and sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change her life, She grew up in foster care after reporting and testifying against her stepfather for abuse and her mother relinquishing her parental rights, Jeanie has learned to keep her emotions close and has only shared them with one other person, Luke, His loss devastated her, but knew she had to be strong because she had a child to raise, This was not the life she had envisioned, but it was what she had, Suddenly finding out her step father had escaped prison and Luke showing up on her doorstep was much more than she was ready to deal with, I loved how even though Luke had amnesia he still felt a strong need/desire to protect Jennie, Could Luke regain what he had lost Luke is a strong Amish man who wants to do right not only God, but also Jennie and his son, He never once thinks of himself first,
As the story opens I am quickly pulled me in and held me until the end until:in the morning I might add, This story has elements of mystery, suspense, complex characters, turmoil, faith, and love, The plot flows effortlessly. The engaging characters are raw and real, This book is part of a series, but is written as a stand alone read,
I would recommend this book to anyone who love a clean story, Amish, or a good suspense,
I received this book from the author, All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own,
