Seize Miss Fairmont And The Gentleman Investigator (The Blackwell Group #3) Narrated By Pat White Digital Copy

better than I thought it would have been, I read it in aboutmins,
It is what it is a beach read, Don't expect more. Once you get past the cheesy dialogue though, there's a bit of intrigue,
I enjoyed it for what it was, Grace Fairmont wanted answers. But after arriving in London, Grace was sent a vicious warning, She wasn't welcome hereor anywhere else, But the search for the truth about her family wouldn't stop there,

Bobby Finn always called his own shots on assignment and with women, And the last thing the Scotsman wanted was to babysit, especially a beautiful, spoiled American, whose daddy didn't want her traveling the U.
K. alone. Yet danger had a way of bringing people togetherBobby and Grace couldn't escape it, And just steps away from uncovering her family's secret history, their attraction was escalating to explosive levels.

Grace her mother's journal and she wants to learn all she can about her mother, who she was told was killed by a drunk driver when Grace was just a baby.
Unknown to Grace her father has hired a private investigator, Bobby Finn, to follow Grace and make sure she's safe.
Bobby resents this lowly assignment but since he jeopardized the last case he was working on he is sent back to London as "punishment" and now he has to follow Grace around for two weeks.

As Bobby follows her she boards a train to Edinburgh, While on the train Grace ends up being mugged and robbed, with her money, credit cards, and locket with her mother's picture in it stolen.
Bobby finds her locked in the bathroom of the train, bound and gagged, and tries to help her out.
He eventually levels with her and tells her that her father sent him to look out for her, sort of like a bodyguard.
Along the way they discover that Grace's mother wasn't all that she appeared to be,

The storyline was good but the main couple was just OK, Grace had some TSTL moments and Bobby did such a poor job as her "bodyguard" Grace may as well not have had one.

This was an OK read with a nice UK setting, An eternal optimist, Pat has been spinning stories in her head ever since she was a little kid stories of romance, intrigue and adventure.
