BOOK REVIEW: Shade of the Palms, by Roberta Leigh,
Must every tale

" عندما نام القدر " i was determined to finish this before i fell asleep bc i didnt want to wake up with this bs in my mind in the morning.
i feel robbed of what could have been a potentially great office romance story, instead i got handed a plate full of boring politics and government shit and ZERO ROMANCE, im so disappointed bc this author is quite adept at making her stories read like movies and always thinks outside the box but she should have stayed inside the box with this one smfh.
im not even going to waste my time delving into the supposed romance that didnt even exist in this book because the author has wasted enough of my time already.
tiny thing but the title literally had zero relevance to the story and for some reason that even annoyed me further, at least the title wasnt one of the really stupid modern ones like “the tycoons secret pregnant virgin mistress housekeeper bride”,
im surprised i
didnt dnf and now that i think about it, it was only because i was in disbelief at the complete lack of anything resembling romance and still held the naive hope that there would be a massive change or sth happening in that regard even when i wasthrough this.
never again.
book club challenge: doesnt fit any of the otherprompts, Not very captivating, butnd half of the story took place in Thailand and since the book was written in thes, it made the story a bit more interesting.
